Michigan features a wealth of domestic wood supplies, an abnormal number of local woodworking clubs (listed below) and a great selection of live edge slabs due to the large number of sawmills.
And while nearby states may offer more exotic woods, the sawmills make up for this with custom cut quarter sawn lumber and local species you can’t find in a big retailer.
